ROBERT B. BLODGETT Robert Blodgett lived in Corvallis, Oregon, and was long been interested in the Creffield story. He originally became aware of it through conversations with several long-time denizens of the city while he was a graduate student at Oregon State University in the 1980's. Subsequent research into the story led to thousands of hours spent staring at old newspapers on microfilm readers and many visits and much correspondence with numerous archives in the Pacific Northwest. By profession Blodgett is a paleontologist/stratigrapher unraveling the fossil and rock record of ancient western North America.
