Calendars with T- McCracken's Cartoons
Magazines I've drawn for. The New Yorker, of course ... although they've yet to have the good sense to buy any of my work. Hundreds of others have, from the Saturday Evening Post to The Oregonian to large publishing houses to small trade journals. Let me draw a few cartoons for you. No matter what, I hope you get a few laughs as you go through my site.
Need a cartoon on a
specific topic?
Using my computer data
base of over 100,000 cross-indexed ideas, I'll send you
some targeted whimsy, you pick out what makes you smirk,
and I email the drawings with no obligation on
your part to buy
anything unless you like them.

Use Cartoons in Presentations.
Public Speakers, even when speaking on serious topics, break the ice with a joke. Cartoons do the same thing--and you can't "tell a cartoon wrong.
Use Cartoons in Textbooks, Advertisements, Brochures, Web Sites & Blogs.
Cartoons & humorous illustrations grab people's attention and therefore increase your chances to convey your message.
Use Cartoons on T-shirts.
Events can't be called true events unless they have official T-shirts, and t-shirts with personalized cartoons on them are the T-shirts preferred by 9 out of 10 people stranded on a desert island.

Holy Rollers: Murder and Madness in Oregon's Love Cult, published by Caxton Press, is my first book of literary nonfiction. It's a story that has everything a good read should have: sex, religious fervor, mass insanity, the downfall of prominent families, murder & sensational court trials. AND it's all true. An illustration of anyone can be Photoshopped into any cartoon on the mchumor.com web site. This is a great CHEAP gift.
The perfect "gift from the gang" at retirement or going away parties is an original cartoon of the guest of honor.

Do you run a business & want something special to send prospective clients, give as gifts or hand out at meetings? People can only fit so many souvenir coffee mugs into a cupboard, whereas books of cartoons are something everyone will really appreciate AND keep. I have cartoon collections of various trades that only cost $8.50 per book. At no extra charge you can have your business's name and logo printed on them.
T-shirts,

Paintings
In addition to cartooning I paint watercolors and draw scientific illustrations. My series titled UnNatural History is a combination of all three. Someday they will be part of a book that's a whimsical look at my life as a naturalist.

Cartoons From a Slightly Warped Mind
is now available as a Kindle Book for $2.99 and as an autographed paperback for $7.50.
It is a collection of 100 of my most popular cartoons, including Lemming Suicide Hotline, Dorothy selling the Tin Man to a recycling center, and Druids changing to Daylight Saving Time.
F.A.Q.
1) I don't want to use Paypal. May I send a check?
Sure. I'll even email you your cartoons now if you tell me which ones you want. Send your nickels and dimes to Theresa McCracken, 890 North Bayview Loop, Waldport, OR 97394.
2) I'm fabulously wealthy and can't believe how cheap mchumor.com's cartoons are compared to 'toons sold on other sites. Is it OK if I send you more money than you ask for?
Hey, give me enough and I'll start letting other worthy folks use my stuff for free. Seriously.
3) I'm from a non-profit or I'm a teacher or I'm a putting together a program that I'm not being paid for. May I use your cartoons for free?
I'd love to give my work away, but since literally over 95% of requests for my 'toons are from folks who fall into this category and my own creditors don't accept good deeds in lieu of cash, I do request a token fee of $7.50 per 'toon. If I can find a grant or someone willing to pay $500 a month ($6,000 a year), I'll let every K-12 school teacher in the world use my material for free! No joke.
4) If I use your cartoons it'll give you great exposure. Now may I use them for free?
Ironically, when I give 'toons away the exposure results in more requests for free 'toons ... oh, and please pardon the pun, but don't people die of exposure?
5) Your cartoons are cheap, but I still can't afford your rates. Any chance of getting a price break?
I try to gouge folks for only as much as they feel comfortable being gouged for. Tell me your circumstances, make me an offer that let's you sleep comfortably at night while keeping in mind that I do this to make my living to support my family, and nine out of ten times I'll accept it.
6) Why have you marred your cartoons by putting a big © copyright watermark on them?
If you buy the rights to use a cartoon, I will email you a high quality jpg without the watermark. I take great pride in my work and it really pained me to make the drawings less attractive on the web, but it seems it’s the only way I can make a living. My rates’ page used to start with the plea, “If you wouldn't steal a newspaper from a blind vendor just because you could get away with it, please don't use a cartoon without permission just because you can get away with it.” I’m disappointed to report that it appears that blind vendors are being ripped off on a regular basis.
7) Are these really questions you're frequently asked?
I get asked all but one of them on a daily basis. One I've never ever been asked, but I'm always hoping that Bill Gates will discover my humor.

I know students don't have much money, but alas, I don't have much money either and my own creditors don't accept good deeds in lieu of cash. Consequently, I do request a token fee of $2.50 per cartoon for use by students who have either downloaded music in the last term or purchased a CD or DVD. Hey, I figure if you can afford that, you can afford $2.50. If you're the rare student who hasn't purchased any music in the last term, then you may use McHumor 'toons for free since you are truly extraordinary. If you know how many you want to use, why not buy them now?
I'll email you a jpg within 24 hours of receiving your order.
My rates to draw an original cartoon range from $35 to $500. It all depends on how a 'toon is going to be used and how complicated a drawing it is.
Usually, though, I charge $150 to draw a black and white cartoon in a style similar to most McHumor 'toons, $250 for a color one.
I give discounts for commissions of multiple cartoons.
I only charge self publishing authors $35 a cartoon with a ten cartoon minimum because I know how hard it is for authors to sell enough copies to cover this expense. I only try to gouge people for as much as they feel comfortable being gouged for.
